Design Pickle’s Question of the Month Will Make You Rethink Productivity

Design Pickle is a subscription-based graphic design service. They offer unlimited requests and revisions for a monthly subscription fee of $370. They are also our parent organization and a long time YesInsights user! We have joined forces to release a monthly report.

Design Pickle was one of our biggest advocates before the acquisition, and they continue to implement our surveys into their workflow. They use our surveys in so many different and creative ways, so they make a great case study for ideas.

Here are just a few of the ways they implement our surveys into their daily workflow:

  • Send fist bump or high five surveys for completed designs
  • Send NPS surveys once a month to gain more insights on their clients’ feelings
  • Ask clients if they are interested in a discount. Then they segment the respondents according to their answers
  • Send biweekly designer review surveys
  • Send a Question of the Month survey

And Design Pickle implements YesInsights surveys in a variety of other fun and creative ways. I personally know that they deal with multitudes of survey responses every single day as I was on the Design Pickle team before coming over to YesInsights. (They use us religiously.)

As such, we have teamed up with them to create reports pertaining to their Question of the Month. Each month Design Pickle sends out a Question of the Month survey to their customers. July’s Question of the Month was:

Where do you get most of your work done?

Design Pickle asked because they have assembled a team literally all over the world. I join the team from Ohio. I have a couple coworkers in Pennsylvania. Another one in Texas, handling Jar. Design Pickle is located in Arizona. So a few more of my teammates live there. And Design Pickle’s entire production team is based in the Philippines!

So it’s safe to sat the Design Pickle team resembles the way others feel about their productivity levels in this digital age of business.

An astounding 52% of responders said that they are most productive at home (I was one of them!). I know more and more people are working from home. But I had no idea that they would represent the majority of Design Pickle’s clients, with 108 out of 208 responses. You can view the whole report below!

So maybe the best way to increase your productivity is simply going home. It’s counterintuitive, but I know from personal experience that I am able to get the most amount of work done when I’m most comfortable. And I’m never more comfortable than when I’m in my (newly created) home office.

One of the funniest, and most relating, comments I saw from a responder was this:

“Biggest advantage [to working from home] no set hours, biggest disadvantage no set hours”

In many businesses, the only thing needed to work is a connection to the internet. Use that to your advantage and create an awesome remote team like Design Pickle, and many of their clients, have!
